San Jose, CA
Tasman Square is a 2-building complex totaling 224,000 SF in North San Jose. The goal for this project was to transform, unify and modernize 2 dated buildings that were segregated by an extensive parking lot. We designed an exterior face lift that includes new building entries featuring aluminum panels with curved corners and exposed round steel columns, aluminum vertical slats with wood finish, large scale aluminum address numbers to improve the wayfinding, and a new aluminum curtain wall glazing system. Interior design includes a lobby renovation featuring a new double-height space, restroom upgrades and a break room/all hands area with folding doors that open into the new outdoor space.
The site design encompasses outdoor living areas that aim to enhance the quality of workplace life. Key elements include monumental steel shade structures and curvilinear patterns, which promote a workspace with a variety of opportunities for lounging, dining, events and all-hands on group meetings. With the updated landscape and amenity improvements, the courtyard square is now a seamless extension of the interior.
