Kifer Tech Center
AAI was hired to reposition the interior and exterior of two mirror image buildings at Kifer Tech Center in Sunnyvale, to make it market ready. When we’re rebranding, a major part of the initial process is evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the building(s) and the site.
AAI removed the landscape clutter around the buildings. Sans clutter, the clean aesthetic lines of the buildings were immediately revealed. Designers added a large, outdoor entry plaza, highlighted with colored concrete, pavers, granite seats, dramatic shade sails, lounge and dining furniture and LED lighting. Privacy to the employee gathering area is provided by custom white metal, laser cut screen panels.
The redesign of the entry facade included contemporary white aluminum panels and a clear glass wall that allows passersby a glimpse into the newly designed lobby. The focal point of the interior is the large all hands area just inside of the outdoor amenity area. The vibrant space is defined by the same white screens, concrete, high end finishes and industrial lighting.
The result: both buildings have been leased by Apple!
